The two moms behind Foot Fairy – one a podiatrist, both entrepreneurs – came to us with an ingenious idea but no tech experience. Together, we discussed how to make Foot Fairy as interactive and engaging as possible. Then, with our Ruby expertise, we played off the preprogrammed iOS touch recognition to create an easy-to-use foot-imprinting tool. Users can not only use Foot Fairy to measure childrens' feet, but they can also use these measurements immediately afterwards to shop for appropriately-sized shoes online, and even share the footprint with friends and family.
Go Dish serves up great deals to the hungry masses of San Francisco, but in the beginning, they only had the wireframes and the concept. Together, using our agile development practices, we decided on the most efficient way to bring Go Dish to life. Because so much of the business plan rests on specific pricing and timing, we knew precision was key.
National CineMedia needed additional technical resources to develop and build new features into their existing Movie Night Out app. We developed iOS and Android applications with an 'augmented reality' feature to detect movie posters around the user, and a cutting edge platform allowing advertisers to synchronize on-screen offers with on-device offers.
Mark Rober made headlines when he first thought of Digital Dudz, using simple animations and handmade velcro pockets to create truly gory Halloween costumes. Rober further polished the idea and fully integrated his wares into the Morphsuit brand, and as Digital Dudz grew, he recruited us to build the Android version of his original idea.
With Wannago, our objective was to create an application to help users track their favorite places to eat, stay, shop and travel, and share these experiences with their friends. We built a recommendation-producing algorithm based on individual users' personalized networks, plus a clean, modern interface that enables users to view location numbers, websites, directions, and even menus. Users can also make reservations and take notes in-app.
