Challenge ASICS needed to extend its mobile platform to Android devices and needed a partner capable of providing support and maintenance after launch. Objective Design and develop the MY ASICS platform for Android Support and maintain the platform’s Android applications after launch Solution Applico worked with ASICS to create and implement a product roadmap for MY ASICS on Android. The finished service incorporated a custom, enterprise-class location tracking algorithm that could track and log your run, create maps of your route as you go, and help you find your way home with an electronic compass. After launch, Applico implemented a support scheme for the product on all Android properties.
MYGUY powered by Viggle is the first-of-its-kind interactive fantasy game that lets you earn real rewards for your play during Professional and Collegiate sport games. Earn MYGUY points every time your selected player makes positive plays during the game. And unlike any other fantasy game on the market, you can substitute players in and out of the game as you see fit. Challenge Viggle needed a partner that could grow their MYGUY fantasy sports app as a proof of concept for third party apps on the Viggle platform. Viggle also needed someone who could stand up the NCAA March Madness, NBA Playoffs and NFL Super Bowl MYGUY applications. Objective Build proof of concept for third party Viggle apps Stand Up MYGUY applications in time for March Madness, the NBA Playoffs, and the Super Bowl. Solution Applico built out the MYGUY applications for NCAA March Madness, the NBA Playoffs, and the Super Bowl, and used the experience to provide a blueprint for how Viggle could turn the Viggle app into a development platform.
ParkMe helps drivers find real-time parking availability on a block-by-bock basis. It now has the largest parking database in the world, with 28,000 locations on all seven continents (yes, even Antartica) with the world’s largest and most robust parking data API. Challenge ParkMe needed help with go-to-market strategy, product development and engineering for its emerging technology. Objective Design and develop a mobile platform for ParkMe Solution Applico worked with ParkMe to build their mobile parking platform, including sensor integration, location services, behavior modeling, and payment processing. As a result, the platform offers real-time prices, in-app route guidance, payments, and a timer.
The CartusMobile platform gives Cartus clients and their transferring employees quick access to relocation information. It also coordinates with vendors involved in the relocation. You can check move status, view key events through the News Feed, add relocation contacts directly from the app to an employee’s phone, file expense reports and more. Challenge Cartus wanted to build mobile into its existing business and needed a partner who could help with strategy and implementation. Objective Identify opportunities to incorporate mobile into relocation services and create a mobile strategy roadmap Design and develop a custom mobile-first platform based on the strategy roadmap. Solution Applico conducted a full-enterprise strategy review and identified key areas in the clients business where a mobile-first platform would be a key differentiator. Armed with this roadmap, we then built a custom native application that centralized client records and supported service delivery. The app facilitated more timely and effective interactions between customers, transferring employees, and suppliers.
The Wilton Cake Decorating app contains thousands of ideas for cakes, cookies, cupcakes, candy and more, along with easy-to-follow instructions to help users make their baked goods look great. Challenge: Wilton needed an Android presence which coincided with their award winning iPhone application. The Android version needed to have feature parity with iOS, specifically enhancing the e-commerce portion of the application to extend to Amazon and their Kindle Fire product line. Objective: Help Wilton develop, design and implement a native app for Android Simultaneously support Amazon and their release of the Amazon Fire product line Integrate an e-commerce component into the app Solution: Applico created an application that could run on both phones and tablets. The app contains more than 3,500 photos of treat decorating ideas and features useful functions such as search, bookmark and “decorate mode,” which makes it easy for users to follow step-by-step instructions as they decorate their baked goods. Users can also rate, review and share ideas, as well as view a Q&A section that provides answers to some of the most common questions asked by other decorators. The application integrates seamlessly into Google Play Services and Amazon’s In-App Purchasing platform to help users expand their own recipe database through simple in app purchases.
